2. Scope

This policy covers the website invent-it.eu. For our products, the privacy policies on the respective product sites apply in addition (groundplate.org, oqqi.de).

3. Hosting & server log files

This website runs on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. When you visit the pages, information sent by your browser is recorded automatically in server log files: IP address, date and time of access, page requested, referrer URL, browser and operating system. This processing ensures secure and stable operation, based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Logs are deleted after a short period.

4. Cookies

This website only sets strictly necessary cookies: a session cookie and a cookie that protects forms against abuse (CSRF). The legal basis is Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The cookies expire after two hours at the latest. We use no tracking, analytics or advertising cookies and embed no external analytics or advertising services.

5. Contact form and e-mail

When you write to us via the contact form or by e-mail, we process your details (name, e-mail address, optionally company, topic and message) to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. To prevent abuse, your IP address is processed briefly to limit requests per address and is not stored permanently.

Messages from the contact form are delivered to our mailbox via the e-mail service Mailjet (Mailjet SAS, France) acting as our processor. We delete your request once it has been handled, unless statutory retention obligations (for example for business letters) apply.

6. Purchases through our reseller

Paid licences for our products are sold through an authorised reseller who acts as merchant of record and is the contracting party for the purchase. The reseller is named at checkout and processes the data required for payment, invoicing and taxes under its own responsibility; its privacy policy applies. We receive from the reseller the details needed to provide the licence (name, e-mail address, product purchased, country and, where applicable, company and VAT ID), based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
